I run twice yearly weekends at a beautiful old farmhouse in South Wales with delicious, healthy homemade (and where possible homegrown) food. Groups are limited to eight so that the weekends have the warmth and informality of a weekend staying with friends and everyone receives plenty of individual attention during classes.
There are five yoga lessons over the weekend, starting with one on Friday evening and two on both Saturday and Sunday. Each class contains some pranayama practice (breathing exercises) and ends with a blissful relaxation session. Meditation and mindfulness will also be discussed and practiced.
The rest of the time can be spent either exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside with its abundance of rivers, ruined castles and abbeys, swimming in the rivers if the weather permits or simply relaxing in the gardens reading a book or enjoying the views over the valleys. Massages and other treatments can be also be arranged.
Some yoga weekends will be specially combined with other activities, such as cookery or art classes or foraging for food.
Accommodation will be in either shared or single rooms in the house or a cosy adjoining cottage.
Prices for the basic weekends range from £190 for a shared room to £210 for single occupancy. This includes the accommodation, all food and drink and yoga over the weekend. Those who wish to make a longer holiday of the weekend can make arrangements to stay on in the cottage if they wish. It can be hard to leave!
If you would like to know more about these weekends or would like to be added to my mailing list, please email or call.
Or maybe create your own yoga retreat? Weekends can be organised and tailormade for groups of friends.
