Is your yoga getting on your nerves?
When was the last time you gave your nervous system due care in your yoga practice?
We are used to thinking about muscles and joints, possibly the circulatory system
but do we give the nervous system enough/any attention?
Are we familiar with the major nerves of the body?
Do we know which postures strongly affect these nerves?
What are the symptoms of a nervous system in trouble?
How do we differentiate between nerves and muscles?
How should we take care of our nervous system?
At the end of the day, you will be able to answer all these questions!
I have booked Leslie Dike, a yoga teacher and physiotherapist who regular runs CPD days, to come and give a workshop on Saturday 12th November in Gwehelog. (Gwehelog is half way between Usk and Raglan, 3/4 hour from Bristol, 15 mins from Raglan or Abergavenny) I am organising this as a FRYOG CPD day, but any other local teachers are welcome.
The theme of the workshop is the nervous system and how it is affected by yoga. We will also be shown how to recognise a nervous system that is in trouble. This workshop has received very positive reviews and sounds fascinating.
It will be at Gwehelog village hall (between Usk and Raglan), NP15 1RL
The cost of the workshop will be £45.
Tea and coffee will be provided, and we will be doing a shared lunch.
